Below are some FAQs for the dedication ceremony of the Clarence Veterans Memorial. If you have any additional questions, please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
What time is the dedication ceremony?
The dedication ceremony will begin after the parade. The parade will begin around 11:00 am, with an estimated starting time of 12:00 pm for the dedication ceremony.
How do the RSVPs work?
The RSVPs are simply to give us a general idea of the number of attendees. We do not need additional names of guests, or for the additional guests to check in at the event. We are asking for Veterans, or a family representative of a Veteran on our Honor Wall or KIA Memorial to check-in, to receive a poppy and tickets to a complimentary chicken dinner for two.
My Veteran has passed away. Do I still get chicken dinner?
Yes! Two complimentary chicken dinners are for either the Veteran or a family representative of the Veteran that is on the memorial. When you RSVP, you simply need to give your name, plus the name of the Veteran you are representing. Please note that it only two complimentary chicken dinners per Veteran name.
What if we want additional chicken dinners?
Additional chicken dinners can be purchased in advance (strongly recommended) or on-site. Pre-orders are $12 per person, and walk-ups are $15 per person while supplies last. CLICK HERE to place additional chicken dinner orders and information.
Where do I park?
Parking will be available all throughout the Clarence Main Street Town Park. It is preferred that most guests park in the back near the softball fields. Handicap parking will be available and appropriately marked near the Clarence Town Pool, close to Main Street. Click here to view a map of where to park!
Can I add additional names to the wall?
Yes…but not just yet! Engravings for the Honor Walls will happen every Spring and Fall. Registration will reopen soon after Memorial Day for adding names for the Fall 2021 engravings.
Where are my Veteran’s photo and bio?
If you submitted a photo and bio for the website – we have it – and it will be up on the website soon. Due to the overwhelming number of registrations, we are behind in getting this up on the website. Thank you in advance for your patience and notify the public when this is completed via social media and local media publications.
