Donald F. Lindner
Donald E. Lindner was a beloved member of the Clarence community and a dedicated patriot. After graduating from Kensington High School, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Japan. Upon returning home, he married Georgina R. Andrews and became highly involved in the Clarence community. He served as past President of the Clarence Lions Club, past Commander of the Clarence American Legion Unit #838, and past President of the Akron Masonic Lodge, among other roles. He was always eager to contribute to charitable causes, whether it was selling oranges, flipping pancakes, or marching in the Labor Day Parade to collect money for the blind or support seeing-eye dogs. He was also active in the Clarence Hollow Association and the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, among other organizations.
Donald was known for his boundless generosity and willingness to help anyone who needed it. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed yearly fishing trips with his loved ones and valued his friendships with his golf buddies and other companions. Though he passed away too soon in 2002, his legacy of community service, kindness, and generosity will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
