Robert H. Kohout
Robert H. Kohout was born on June 17, 1926 in Highland Falls, NY. At age18, he enlisted in the Amy Air Corps in 1944. As a flight officer in World War II he served as a bombardier on a B29 “Super Fortress” in Guam. Their primary targets were sites in Japan. At that time pilots, navigators and bombardiers were all classified as Flight Officers and most of these men were less than 25 years old at the time of service. Robert lived most of his adult life in Clarence, from 1956 until his death in 1985.
